Eagle Scout Garrett Donald Lutz (centered), son of Sean and Jacki Russell of Raleigh, was presented the Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from Eagle Scout Coordinator Lewis W. Rice III of the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment on October 11th Oakland Presbyterian Church on Cleveland Road.
Lutz is a member of Boy Scout Troop #33 of Clayton where they have 70 active youth Boy Scouts and 16 Adult Leaders and has held an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader position in his Troop as well as being a member of the Order of the Arrow, the Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America.
Garrett is a senior at Athens Drive High School in Raleigh. He is also very active in his church youth group because he believes in the 12th point of the Boy Scout Law – a Scout is reverent.
