A licensed electrical and utility contractor based out of Hope Mills will be doing some electrical work for the Town of Clayton along Vinson Road over the next two weeks.
Drivers and residents may see crews using machines to bore underground holes in the public right-of-way along the edge of Vinson Road, between Neuse Ridge and Heathgreen Drives.
Crews will be installing underground conduit, or piping, which will later be used to run Clayton Public Power electrical lines through.
To work safely, there will be times that crews will need to close a lane of traffic along Vinson Road. Those crews will help direct vehicles safely around these temporary lane closures.
