SMITHFIELD – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of electrical wire from a jobsite on Crantock Road near Cleveland Road.
A contractor for Duke Energy reported a spool of electrical wire had been stolen from a construction site sometime between Dec. 12 and Dec. 18.
The wire was valued at $4,800.
