An employee at Wal-Mart has been arrested for allegedly stealing merchandise from the business.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19 year-old Amber Nicole Frederick on Tuesday afternoon. She was charged with a single felony count of larceny by employee.
Frederick worked at the Wal-Mart on Highway 42 in the Cleveland community. She was allegedly caught on store security cameras removing a $45 phone card without paying for the item.
Officials said the theft occurred on December 26, 2015 but was not reported until Tuesday. Frederick was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $20,000 bond.
