Ex-Employee Charged In 2016 Larceny From Four Oaks Business

FOUR OAKS – More than four years after Four Oaks Police obtained warrants against a suspect wanted for stealing money from the Four Oaks Restaurant, an arrest has been made.

Taylor Brooke Forbis, 24, of Godwin, formerly of Swift Creek Road, Smithfield, was arrested Tuesday by Four Oaks Police.

In March 2016, the owner of the Four Oaks Restaurant reported a waitress had been terminated after they were allegedly caught stealing money from the cash register on three different occasions.  The three thefts totaled $250.

Police Chief Stephen Anderson said officers investigated the case and obtained a warrant for felony larceny by an employee against Taylor Forbis but could not locate her

On Tuesday, Four Oaks Police arrested Jamie Valadez in the parking lot of the Sunoco on US 701 on a failure to appear warrant for a Kenly Police charge of misdemeanor marijuana possession.  Chief Anderson said Forbis was in a van with Valadez and during questioning gave a fictitious name to police. She left the scene on foot while officers were arresting Valadez. She was located a short time later when she returned to the business parking lot and was arrested.
