A Harnett County woman is accused of breaking into her ex-husbands home in Johnston County stealing numerous items. The break-in was reported January 17th on Beasley Road near Benson.
On Friday, Melissa Ann Edwards of S. Powell Avenue, Dunn was arrested and charged with three felonies: breaking and entering, larceny, and conspiracy.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office alleges Edwards, 37, broke into the home and stolen 6 photos, a tent, gas grill, toolbox, and children’s clothing. The victim said Edwards had not lived in the home for nearly three years.
She was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $140,000 bond.
