Faith Community Church Shares Love And Support With Johnston County DSS Employees

SMITHFIELD – Faith Community Church of Clayton made a visit to the Johnston County Department of Social Services, Monday.

The church group shared their love and support with employees in the Child Welfare division by setting up a cart of ready-to-go snacks and treats for staff.

Ben Rose, Interim Director of Johnston County DSS, told the delegation that often social workers in child welfare are dealing with difficult cases and high levels of stress and feel forgotten.

“This small gesture truly means the world to them, thank you,” said Mr. Rose.

Faith Community Church and DSS will both continue to serve and minister to those in need and look for more ways to partner together in the future.
