Fake Bomb Threat At Police Station

Detectives are investigating a fake bomb threat at a local police department. Around 2:00am February 20th, a person called the Johnston County 911 Center claiming there was a bomb at the Clayton Police Department on E. Second Street.

Interim Police Chief Greg Tart said the call came from a spoofed phone number. It appears the caller was a juvenile. No arrests have been.

Chief Tart said while there was no validity to the false bomb threat, police are treating the matter seriously and are looking for the person who made the call.
