Family Displaced After Fire Destroys Wilson’s Mills Home

WILSON’S MILLS — A family of four was displaced Monday morning after a fire destroyed a doublewide mobile home on Poplar Drive, off Wilson’s Mills Road.

Fire crews from Wilson’s Mills, Clayton, Smithfield and Selma responded to the scene, where they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

Two adults and two juveniles were living in the residence at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross responded and is assisting the family with immediate needs.

The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the incident and determined the fire was accidental.
