FOUR OAKS – A Four Oaks family escaped without injury after bullets struck their home in the Sheffield Wood subdivision, off NC Highway 210. The family was asleep in their Sheffield Drive residence when gunfire rang out around 10:51pm Sunday.
The couple looked out the window but didn’t see anyone. They discovered bullet holes in their home, detached garage, and car.
Deputies responded and located 8 shell casings.
Luckily the couple and their child were not injured by the bullets.
Damage to the home and car was placed at $6,700.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
