A family owned Johnston County business is getting some national exposure. Evans Jewelers, which opened their new location at 320 East Market Street in Downtown Smithfield last September is featured this month in Southern Jewelry News.
Anna Evans said the publication is distributed to the jewelry industry and all jewelry stores in the Southeast and Midwest.
Evans Jewelers was featured on the front page of the July edition.
The article mentions owner Daniel Evans vision of creating a “destination” store where people are treated like family. The store also features cigars and wine. Evans says sales have increased 25 percent since moving to the new location.
The report highlights the fact that every time you visit the store a member of the Evans family is there to greet you.
“It’s more than a jewelry store… it’s a destination with a whole lot more to come,” Evans said during his Grand Opening.
