A family pet was stolen by intruders during a break-in last week. It happened Friday afternoon on Massengill Pond Road near the Johnston-Harnett County line.
A 31 year-old woman said she left home to pick up her child from West Johnston High School. When she returned, she discovered a bedroom window had been forced open and a 4 year-old Maltese dog and a xBox video game system were missing.
Authorities have not made any arrests in the break-in. The incident is under investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
