Father And Son Arrested, 2 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized

A father and son were arrested Tuesday night on felony drug charges.

Dean-Mugshots-FIDeputies were searching for 21 year-old Austin Tyler Dean of Hobbs Street, Clayton who was wanted for violating his probation, according to Tammy Amaon, spokesperson with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office. Amaon said deputies received a tip Dean was in the area of Saddlebrook Drive, Clayton and located him and his father in a vehicle.

Officers reportedly found methamphetamine in Dean’s possession, and 2 pounds of marijuana in his father’s possession. 

Austin Dean was charged with felony probation violation, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  His father, Christopher Scott Dean, 38, also of Hobbs Street, was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.

Both were incarcerated in the Johnston County Jail.
