An arrest has been made in the theft of items stolen from a home June 4th on Tarheel Road near Benson.
On that day, the homeowner reported money, jewelry and a debit card were stolen from her residence.
The stolen debit card was later used at a Benson bank to withdraw money.
Authorities said a camera at the bank captured Samuel Martin Senter of the 2300 block of Benson Hardee Road, Benson using the victim’s stolen debit card. Deputies said Senter was acquainted with the victim.
Senter was arrested Thursday and charged with three felonies: identity theft, financial card theft and obtaining property by false pretenses.
Bail for the 24 year-old man was set at $70,000.
