The Red Cross is assisting a Clayton family whose home was damaged by fire Thursday night.
The family returned to their home in the 400 block of Kerriann Lane just after 9pm and discovered the kitchen area was on fire. They immediately called 911.
Fire crews from three different departments responded.
On Friday, officials said the cause of the fire had still not been determined. No injuries were reported.
