Fire Damages Clayton Home

CLAYTON — Firefighters quickly brought a residential structure fire under control Tuesday afternoon.

The Clayton Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 12:22 p.m. to a reported house fire at 293 Sugarberry Lane, off Glen Laurel Road.

Clayton firefighters arrived to find a working fire. They were assisted by mutual aid units from the North Side Fire Department and the Wilson’s Mills Fire Department.

Crews had the fire under control within about 20 minutes of the initial dispatch.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
