Fire Damages Home In Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — A home in Smithfield was damaged by a fire Tuesday morning.

The blaze broke out at a residence on British Court, off Country Club Road. Fire crews from Smithfield, Four Oaks and Wilson’s Mills responded and were able to quickly bring the fire under control.

Johnston County EMS stood by at the scene. No injuries were reported.

The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
