PRINCETON – A local fire department could not have been more prepared Saturday evening as they were gathered at the fire station for their annual Christmas dinner. When the call came in for a nearby house on fire, Pine Level firefighters quickly donned their turnout gear and rushed to the fire.
Firefighters from Brogden, Pine Level, Selma and Princeton were immediately on the scene facing heavy black smoke pouring from a brick home on Howell Road, outside of Princeton.
The home was heavily damaged when fire in a front room spread to the attic. At least one resident was displaced.
There were no injuries reported in the 7:30pm blaze.
The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
