SMITHFIELD – Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire at a Smithfield home.
The blaze was reported around 6:00pm today (Wednesday) at a home in the 800 block of Blount Street, off Brogden Road.
Smithfield, Selma, and Four Oaks fire personnel responded.
Smithfield Fire Chief Jeremey Daughtry said the fire damaged the kitchen area of the home.
The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to investigate the cause.
No injuries were reported.
