A fire gutted a Princeton area home Friday afternoon.
The blaze was reported at 1150 Howell Road. The Princeton Fire Department was assisted by several other fire departments in battling the fire.
The occupant of the home said she had stepped out for about 5 minutes only to return to find the house fully ablaze. All of her belongings were destroyed.
The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office and Johnston County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the cause.
No injuries were reported.
