Firefighters Extinguish Car Fire

FOUR OAKS — No injuries were reported after a car caught fire Saturday night on Interstate 95 in Four Oaks.
The blaze broke out near the 89-mile marker in the southbound lanes. Firefighters from the Four Oaks Fire Department quickly responded and extinguished the flames.
One southbound lane of I-95 was temporarily closed while crews worked to bring the fire under control.
Authorities said the driver was able to pull over and exit the vehicle safely before the flames spread to the interior. The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
