First Citizen’s Bank has made a donation of $100,000 as a challenge grant to My Kid’s Club (MKC) in response to its Capital Campaign to build a new Community Clubhouse at 609 N. Pollock Road in Selma. Pictured with MKC Executive Director Alison Gammage is Bill Galloway Area Excecutive, Jean Kelly the founder of MKC, and William White Executive Board member for MKC.
When complete, the new, brightly lit, and creatively-spaced 5,000-square foot building will allow MKC to expand its reach to more students and to the community as a whole.
“This is a wonderful boost to our campaign, we are confident of raising the funds for this challenge grant. The building will be a wonderful space for the children ” said Gammage, who accepted the donation on behalf of the Club. “This donation will enable us to create a ‘flagship’ community building in Selma and increase our outreach throughout Johnston County. We want to thank First Citizens Bank for this generous support of MKC.”
MKC is a non-profit organization that provides after school programs, summer camps, and a new virtual learning support program in response to COVID-19, offering resources and education that strengthens families and promotes the optimal development of children to ensure their success.
