The National Weather Service in Raleigh has extended the Flood Warning for Southern Johnston County, Wayne County, Sampson County, Harnett County, Cumberland County, and Lee County in our immediate area until 8:00pm Thursday.
Multiple roads remain closed across the advisory area due to high water.
Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams. Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
