NC Safe Plates is a food safety manager certification course for those who work in the food service industry as managers. This course prepares food service managers to complete a nationally recognized, American National Standards Institute Certified Food Protection Manager certification exam. NC Safe Plates covers best practices for food safety management in a food establishment according to the 2017 FDA Food Code. This interactive class encourages participants to engage with the material through case studies, storytelling and discussion.
NC Safe Plates will be held March 27th- 29th, 2019 at the Johnston County Agriculture Center. The course instruction will take place from 9:00am-4pm on March 27th and from 9:00am-1:00pm on March 26th. The final certification exam will take place at 9:00am on March 29th.
