A former employee at a Clayton area nursing home has been arrested on charges she stole from a patient.
A Selma woman who was a patient at the nursing home last month reported that her VISA debit card was stolen and several charges were made without her authorization.
Surveillance cameras at the locations where the purchases were made reportedly captured Claudette Michelle Brown, 50, of N. Church Street, Clayton making those transactions. Brown turned herself in to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and was charged with three felonies: financial card theft, identity theft and obtaining property by false pretenses.
Bail was set at $10,000. Brown’s arrest report listed her as currently being unemployed.
