Former PE Teacher Named New Assistant Principal At South Johnston High

A former physical education teacher and coach at South Johnston High has been named the new Assistant Principal at the school.

The Johnston County School Board has approved a two year assistant principal contract for Dominique D. Manson.  Manson was a PE Teacher at South Johnston from 2015 to 2018. He was also the Trojans assistant football coach, head track coach and head JV girls basketball coach.

Since August 2018, Manson had been employed as an assistant principal at Southwest Edgecombe High School in Pinetops.

Manson holds a Bachelor of Science – Sports Science & Fitness Management degree from NC A&T University in Greensboro (2011) and a Master of Art in Teaching – Physical Education degree from NC A&T University in Greensboro (2013). He is currently working on his Master of School Administration degree at NC State University in Raleigh.

Manson is replacing Assistant Principal James Turner.
