Former Restaurant Being Turned Into Executive Office Suites

A former restaurant location that has been closed for several years will be turned into upscale office suites.

The Wade Group and Gray Wolf Homes have announced a strategic partnership to give a Cleveland Area landmark a new life.  The restaurant formerly known by area residents as “The Old Chops Steakhouse” located at 10920 Cleveland Road in the Cleveland Township will soon be reconditioned into Class A Office Space.

The Wade Group and Gray Wolf Homes will be relocating their offices from their current location near the Johnston County Airport to this location once construction has been completed. In addition, several separate Executive Office Suites will be available for lease to local businesses who have a need for one to two offices – something that is currently in short supply in the Cleveland Community.

The 6,606 square foot building and 2.63-acre parcel has sat dormant for almost a decade. Johnston County Commissioners unanimously approved a rezoning request for the site in January.

Area residents may have seen some initial activity in passing. They should expect to see larger amounts of activity in the upcoming months as the building takes on a whole new image as a Class A Office Space through a considerable transformation.

Wade Corbett, founder of The Wade Group and co-founder of Gray Wolf Homes is a life-long resident of Johnston County, specifically of the Cleveland area.

“We’re excited to relocate our companies to the area that we call home. We have known this building since its inception in 1993 and it has become a staple in the Cleveland Community over those years.. We’re excited to play a part in the story of this building and to be an active participant in the Cleveland Community,” Corbett said.
