A former Cleveland area restaurant has been rezoned. The former Chops location at 10920 Cleveland Road, Garner in the Cleveland Township was rezoned by Johnston County Commissioners at their Jan. 7th meeting.
The 6,606 square foot building and 2.63 acre parcel are currently owned by Crescent Properties & Development LLC.
Gray Wolf Property LLC of Clayton filed a petition seeking to rezone the parcel from General Business-Special Use to General Business. By removing the Special Use classification, a business other than a restaurant can operate at the site.
The rezoning was unanimously approved by the planning board and county board of commissioners.
After the meeting, Wade Corbett with Gray Wolf Property declined to release details on the future use saying an announcement would be forthcoming in a few weeks.
