SMITHFIELD – A 29 year-old man is facing criminal charges. Caleb Williams Baker of Grady Street, Four Oaks was arrested February 14 by the Smithfield Police Department.
Police said Baker was formerly employed at Speedway, located at 2301 S. Brightleaf Boulevard. Between January 28 and February 10, Baker allegedly scanned a total of $94.57 in store merchandise then processed fraudulent refunds for the items, keeping the money.
He was charged with three felony counts of larceny by an employee and released on $30,000 unsecured bond.
