Foul play has not been ruled out in the disappearance of a 38 year-old woman. Maria Ventura Cruz was last seen around 7:00pm Saturday at her home on Hayes Mill Road in the Godwin community in Sampson County.
She was reported missing to the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office on Monday. Cruz has not been heard from since Saturday night.
Investigators said they have been searching for Cruz and are not ruling out criminal misconduct. Authorities said that due to the sensitive nature surrounding the incident, no additional information was released.
