The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three break-ins Wednesday afternoon that could all be connected.
The break-ins happened at homes near the intersection of Keen Road and Stewart Road just off US 701, east of Four Oaks.
Homeowners in the 1900 block of Keen Road, 1100 and 1200 blocks of Stewart Road returned home between 4:15 pm and 7:50 pm and discovered the break-ins.
About $1,600 in property was taken from the three homes including jewelry, money, X-Box video game console, games, controllers, hand and power tools. Burglars also removed a washing machine and dryer from one of the homes.
Detective Lt. Don Pate said the break-ins have been assigned to investigators.
