Four Oaks Man Facing Meth Charge

A suspicious person walking in the roadway ended up in jail. On Jan. 4th, deputies received a report of a man and woman walking in the highway near the intersection of Raleigh Road and Elevation Road outside of Four Oaks.

Officer arrived and located the two individuals.  Deputies recognized one of the persons as 30 year-old Timothy Gerald Matthews Jr., of the 2400 block of Elevation Road.  The deputy had a warrant for Matthews arrest for a child support warrant.

After taking Matthews into custody the officer reportedly found a small plastic bag wrapped in tin foil in his pocket. The bag contained a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.

Matthews was charged with felony possession of methamphetamines and served with an order for arrest for child support. He was given a $10,000 bond on the drug charge and a $333 bond for the child support warrant.
