Four Oaks Middle School Launches New Technology Student Association Chapter

FOUR OAKS, N.C. – Four Oaks Middle School has launched its first Technology Student Association chapter, giving students a new opportunity to explore technology, engineering, design and leadership through hands-on activities and competition.

The organization, commonly known as TSA, is the school’s newest Career and Technical Student Organization and will allow students to work on projects that emphasize creativity, problem-solving and teamwork.

School officials said students will be able to participate in challenges and competitions that require them to apply what they are learning in practical ways.

The program is designed to expose students to areas such as technology, engineering and design while also helping them develop leadership and communication skills.

TSA chapters typically give students opportunities to work individually and in teams on projects, prepare for competitive events and explore possible career interests connected to science, technology, engineering and other technical fields.

At Four Oaks Middle, school officials said the new chapter will give students another way to connect classroom learning with real-world applications.

The launch also gives current students the opportunity to help shape the organization from the beginning as the school establishes its first TSA chapter.

School officials said the program is intended to help students discover new interests while building skills that can support both their academic work and future career goals.

Students who participate will also have opportunities to compete and represent Four Oaks Middle through TSA-related events.

The organization joins other Career and Technical Education opportunities aimed at helping students gain experience beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Four Oaks Middle officials said they hope the new chapter becomes an ongoing part of student life at the school.
