Four Oaks Middle Teacher Named Teacher Of Month

The Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce has named Ida Robbins a teacher at Four Oaks Middle School the April Teacher of the Month recipient.

Robbins was presented with a Certificate of Recognition as well as a bag of gifts from many of the Chamber member businesses.  The Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce is honored to recognize the lasting contributions made to the Four Oaks community by our teachers.

Four Oaks Middle School shared as part of this nomination: Ms. Robbins works tirelessly to build engaging learning experiences in science for her students.  She seeks resources from other teachers as well as outside of the school. She also sponsors the Student Government Association (SGA) to develop student leadership characteristics.  Each year on Veteran’s Day, Ms. Robbins and the SGA organizes an inspiring celebration to honor our community’s veterans. Additionally, she developed a yearly science project that brings in community members to evaluate student presentations.  Ms. Robbins is a fantastic teacher who works hard to engage her students in science experiences. She seeks to provide activities that will impact the student to help them retain the information not just for a test but beyond the test. She seeks volunteer opportunities for the SGA members and as well as provides opportunities for them to serve others.

The Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce recognizes an area teacher each month. Four Oaks teachers are a vital part of developing and leading our future workforce and future community leaders. The Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce recognizes teachers who motivate and inspire their students through their teaching practices and their commitment to the community.
