A 31 year-old Four Oaks woman was arrested Tuesday, one day after deputies allegedly found heroin in her possession.
Around 2:00am Monday, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the 6100 block of Black Creek Road, off Highway 210 near Smithfield. The caller stated a vehicle was parked in a driveway with the headlights on but no one appeared to be around the car.
Officers arrived and located a man and woman nearby. The female, identified as Adrienne Elaine McLeod of Carpenter Drive, was allegedly found to have a small quantity of heroin in her possession.
While being transported to the Johnston County Jail, McLeod began experiencing a medical issue. She was taken to Johnston Medical Center for evaluation. Upon her release from the hospital on Tuesday, McLeod was formally charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served with three warrants for her arrest for failing to appear in court on misdemeanor drug offenses.
McLeod was held on a $40,000 bond on the heroin charge and a $40,000 bond on the failure to appear warrants.
