Fraternal Order Of Police Donates 600 Book Bags

The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #88 bought and donated 600 book bags to help children in Johnston County Schools.

Each new book bag was filled with school supplies like pencils, paper, glue sticks, erasers, and notebooks which were also purchased by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).

“There are kids that really need the supplies because their parents can’t afford it, and we really look forward to helping those people,” said President of the FOP Lodge #88, Ronald Daniels.

Members of the order worked alongside several  Johnston County Schools social workers, nurses, and administrators to fill the bagson Monday at Johnston County Schools Facility Services in Smithfield.

“We all come together and support one another for our students to be successful,” said Susan Kelly, Lead School Social Worker for Johnston County Schools. “When students have those supplies they can be most successful in their schools.”

The group has been a longtime supporter of Johnston County Schools.
