A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday for a teenager tragically killed while walking to Clayton High School.
18 year-old Gustavo Alexis Armenta Valadez of Park Place, Clayton was attempting to cross Highway 42 West (Lombard Street) in the Clayton city limits around 7:00am last Thursday morning when he was struck by a van. It was dark and rainy at the time of the accident. He died as a result of his injuries.
Clayton Police said the driver of the van remained on the scene. No charges were filed.
Visitation will be held today (Monday) from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at St. Ann’s Catholic Church at 4057 US 70 Business, Clayton. A Funeral Mass will be held at the church on Tuesday beginning at 2:00PM following by interment at Maplewood Cemetery.
