The Garner Police Department is now accepting applications for its Spring Citizens Police Academy. The classes will begin on March 5th and run for 10 weeks. The class will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m.
The Citizens Police Academy is an opportunity to learn how the Garner Police Department works, to meet officers who work in your community and to learn more about what it means to be a police officer in Garner.
The goal is to build relationships between officers and the community through better understanding of officers’ job functions. It provides a forum for feedback and suggestions for improvement.
