Garner Police have arrested a suspect in a Sunday morning robbery in a parking lot on Mechanical Boulevard.
Torrey Mitch Singleton, 32, was charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Police had been called to 1595 Mechanical Boulevard around 3:38am Sunday after a female victim reported that she was approached by an unknown male armed with a knife. The man took her purse and ran away on foot.
Singleton was identified as a suspect in this crime. Police confirmed that he had been staying at a nearby hotel when this incident occurred.
Garner Police are working to see if Singleton may be responsible for other recent unsolved robberies in the same area.
