Garner’s Unprepared Trash And Yard Waste Collection Resumes April 27

The Town of Garner’s spring unprepared trash and yard waste collection, which was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will resume on Monday, April 27.

Here are the routes remaining to be collected: Thursday (Purple and Yellow), Friday (Brown and Blue) and Tuesday (Green, Gold and Tan). Everyone on those routes should put their waste out by the 27th (if it is not already curbside). It may take several weeks for our crews to cover these remaining routes. Officials said they appreciate the patience of residents as crews work during these extraordinary times to provide this special service.  For safety reasons, they ask that you don’t approach crews while they are out collecting the waste and debris.

Yard waste should be separated from other bulky trash items. The following items will not be collected: tires, hazardous waste and paint, appliances, and yard waste and debris generated by tree-cutting companies or other commercial services.

For more information about the resumption of this special collection, email Garner Public Works at publicworksservicedesk@garnernc.gov or call 919-772-7600.
