Generator Stolen During Break-In At Johnston County Church

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in at a church in the Cleveland community where a donated generator and sports equipment were stolen.

The break-in was reported June 1 at Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 3414 North Shiloh Road near Garner.

According to a sheriff’s office report, someone forced entry into a storage shed on the church property between May 24 and June 1.

Investigators said the suspect stole a 7,500-watt generator that had been donated to the church, along with approximately 25 soccer balls. The stolen items were valued at an estimated $1,250.

Damage to the storage shed door was estimated at $300.

No suspects have been identified.
