The Godwin Group, headquartered in Dunn, gave its employees who have served in the military gift cards as a Veterans Day surprise.
Pat Godwin Sr., owner and founder of Godwin Manufacturing and owner of the other divisions in The Godwin Group, is shown center with Jeremiah Massengill of Coats, left, and Ashton Watkins of Smithfield. Both work in the wet paint shop at Godwin Manufacturing.
Massengill served in the Marines and Watkins in the Army National Guard. Other Godwin Manufacturing employees receiving gift cards were Kevin Baldwin, Gamaliel, Yonce ‘Joe’ Ponce of Coats, Charles Henderson, Alfonso Lopez, Jerry Salmon and Roscoe Williams.
Those honored at Champion Hoist, also in Dunn, were Nicholas Traylor, Jose Vazquez and Melvin Johnson. CFO Darrin Smith, who also works in Dunn, was honored.
Employees at plants in Kentucky, Ohio and Utah were also given gift cards.
