Goldsboro Implements New Security Measures At City Hall

GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Visitors to City Hall will notice changes in how they access services beginning today, Monday, March 23, as the City of Goldsboro implements new security protocols designed to enhance safety for all visitors and employees.

All individuals — including employees — entering through the main entrance of City Hall Addition will be required to pass through a security screening. This process, conducted by security personnel, will include walking through a metal detector.

After completing the screening process, visitors will check in with the receptionist. Those who need to visit offices beyond the Revenue Collections office will be issued a visitor badge, which must be visible throughout the duration of their visit.

The main entrance at City Hall will remain the only public entry point. Screening will take place during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as during City Council meetings.

Employees may continue to use designated staff entrances with fob access to avoid screening. Any employee entering through the main public entrance will be subject to the same screening process as visitors.
