U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Sonia E. Gonzalez graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Gonzalez is the daughter of Carlos A. Gonzalez of Clayton, and Jannette Rodriguez of Farmington, Connecticut, step-daughter of Daniel Rodriguez of Hartford, Connecticut, sister of Jannette Gonzalez of Hartford, Connecticut, and granddaughter of Sonia Rodriguez of Hartford, Connecticut.
She is a 2012 graduate of Clayton High School in Clayton, NC. She earned an associate degree in 2016 from Manchester Community College in Manchester, Connecticut.
