RALEIGH – Governor Roy Cooper has announced the appointment of Dr. Carol Ann Hudgens of Clayton to the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities. Dr. Hudgens will represent the Department of Public Instruction.
Dr. Hudgens is the Senior Director for the Office of Exceptional Children for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
“Exceptional” is such a vague and ambiguous term in this context. Not sure why feelings seem to dictate our language to such a degree these days, to the point we’re promoting mental illnesses.
