Governors Office Issues $5,000 Reward In Benson Missing Person Case

It has been 12 weeks since a Florida man suddenly disappeared in Benson. Police have conducted dozens of searches for 22 year-old Christopher Cole Thomas. Volunteers gathered recently to conduct their own search.

Thomas disappeared the day after Thanksgiving. He was last seen by two of his friends he was traveling with to Durham when they made an unplanned stop in Benson.

Benson Police announced Monday a $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the disappearance of Thomas.  The reward was approvedFriday afternoon by the Office of NC Governor Roy Cooper.
