Evan Gronendyke of Kenly graduated earlier this month from US Army Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Evan is a 2015 graduate from North Johnston High School and an Eagle Scout from the Troop 63 in Pine Level.
He is also a proud member of the Kenly Volunteer Fire Department. In addition, he is an active member of Princeton Baptist Church.
Evan is currently undergoing his Advanced Individual Training in Gulfport, MS and is specializing in Carpentry and Masonry.
Following his advanced training, he will serve in the Army National Guard and reside in Kenly.
His parents are Tim and Sharon Gronendyke and siblings, David, Tyler and Katelin.
