Smithfield Police are searching for three suspects wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a West Smithfield convenience store.
The robbery was reported at 10:53pm Wednesday, just minutes before the Star Market at 836 West Market Street was about to close for the evening.
Captain R. Sheppard said three unknown males entered the business. At least two were armed with handguns. At gunpoint the suspects stole cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash from an employee.
No injuries were reported.
