Hailey Creech, a senior softball pitcher for Smithfield Selma High School, signed her letter of acceptance and intent to attend and play softball at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount. NC. Wesleyan is an NCAA Division III institution.
Creech plans to join the Bishops softball squad in the Fall while studying Exercise Science. She was joined on the celebratory signing day today (Monday) by her parents, Chris and Michelle Creech of Smithfield, Coach Russ Smith representing the Carolina Storm Surge travel softball team of which Creech is a member, as well as Craig Faircloth, coach of the SSS Spartans Softball team. Also in attendance for the signing was Dr. Ross Renfrow, Superintendent of Johnston County Schools, Tracie Zukowski and Ronald Johnson of the Johnson County School Board, David Allen, Principal of SSS High School, along with the SSS Softball team, as well as many other family members and friends.
