Harnett County Fire Chief Battling Coronavirus

Family asking for prayers

One local fire chief has contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) and remains hospitalized, fighting for his life.

Northwest Harnett Fire Chief Chris Prince, is currently in the intensive care unit fighting the effects of COVID-19 and viral and bacterial pneumonia, according to a post by his daughter on social media.

“Dad is a very sick man and truly needs a miracle,” Brandy Prince Bailey said on a Facebook post. “God says that where two or more gather in His name, He is there, so my family and I ask that you please join us in prayer for my father’s complete healing.”

Prince contracted the virus after others in the fire department started showing symptoms. His daughter told readers of the post her mother, Tonette, has also battled the virus and has recovered at home.

Chief Prince is currently isolated from his family and visitors in the hospital.

“It is devastating that we cannot be with Dad to hold his hand and whisper words of encouragement to him as he fights this battle,” Bailey said. “But we have faith that our Heavenly Father has him in the palm of His hands and hears every prayer lifted up for him and He will restore his health.”
